Assignment:
Screen recording (aka screencasting) allows you to record the actions seen on your computer monitor as tasks are completed. The goal is to create screen recording videos that can be used to teach students how to complete specific tasks.
The assignment is to create a series of three screen recording videos that teach related concepts regarding computer-related tasks and can be made available to students for subsequent teaching/learning. They should be long enough to “teach the task”-no less, no more. As with the video, include elements which identify these as a series (logo, background music, intro, etc.).
Depending on the application, you may be able to utilize features such as video callouts, mouse highlights, narration, etc. that can make the lesson easier to follow. Use those features as available…and appropriate.
